Henley Bank is Recognised as Good for the first time in Its History

Henley Bank High School is recognised as Good by Ofsted

Henley Bank High School, in Brockworth, Gloucester has received its first ever ‘Good’ Ofsted inspection following the transformation since it joined the Greenshaw Learning Trust in January 2018. Ofsted rated the school as good for behaviour and attitudes; leadership and management; quality of education and personal development.

The inspection team visited in June 2022 and found that all students are provided with an ambitious curriculum and benefit from a positive, disruption-free, learning environment. Students are taught to celebrate their differences and live out the school values, which include ambition and respect, and this has developed a sense of community and belonging.

Will Smith, Chief Executive Officer of the Greenshaw Learning Trust, said: “Henley Bank High School has been on a rapid improvement journey and we are delighted that this has been recognised by OFSTED. In particular, we welcomed the inspectors’ observations of the balance between academic and character education, support of student well-being and SEN students, and the important focus of reading. Henley Bank is a flourishing, popular, local school and, our community can be proud of the hard work of students and staff. ”
