Delay in Sandy Lane Primary School joining Greenshaw Learning Trust

It is now anticipated the school will become an academy and join the Trust on 1 October 2022.

Following a stakeholder consultation, Sandy Lane Primary School in Bracknell has been granted approval by the Regional Schools Commissioner to join the Greenshaw Learning Trust. Many vital steps required for the school to convert to an academy and transfer have been completed.  However, it has not been possible to carry out all the necessary work to enable Sandy Lane to formally join the Greenshaw Learning Trust within the original timetable. It is now anticipated that Sandy Lane Primary School will become an academy and join the Greenshaw Learning Trust on 1 October 2022.

Will Smith, CEO of the Greenshaw Learning Trust, said: “The Greenshaw Learning Trust is working closely with the school, and the staff and students are already being treated as part of the Greenshaw family ahead of the transfer. Sandy Lane Primary School and the Greenshaw Learning Trust are committed to our future together and we are working closely to ensure that this exciting step in the school’s journey goes smoothly.”
