Henley Bank High School joins the Greenshaw Family
On 4 January, Henley Bank High School opened its doors as the latest member of the Greenshaw Family.
Henley Bank High School, formerly called Millbrook Academy, is a co-educational, fully comprehensive 11 to 18 school in Brockworth on the eastern outskirts of Gloucester.
Henley Bank has joined the Greenshaw Learning Trust after having been transferred from its previous sponsors, Academies Enterprise Trust (AET).
Following discussions between the Department for Education (DfE), AET and the Trustees of the Greenshaw Learning Trust it was agreed that it was in the best interests of the school, its students and its local community, for it to be transferred from AET into the Greenshaw Learning Trust.
During autumn 2017, senior staff of the Greenshaw Learning Trust worked with AET and the DfE and the leadership at the school to prepare the school for transfer. The necessary arrangements were concluded before Christmas and the school formally joined the Greenshaw Learning Trust in time for it to open at the start of the spring term under its new name, Henley Bank High School, and with a new logo and uniform.
