The Greenshaw Learning Trust appoints new Director of Primary Education

Lauren Costello has been appointed as the new Greenshaw Learning Trust Director of Primary Education from 1 September 2021. Lauren has a wealth of experience in primary and special school improvement and has demonstrated an exceptional track record in her previous roles in large multi-academy trusts.

Simon Cooper-Hind, the current Director of Primary Education will be retiring at the end of this academic year. Over the summer term, Simon will work closely with Lauren to ensure a smooth transition in preparation for the start of the new academic year. As Director of Primary Education, Lauren will work collaboratively with the Headteachers and Governing Bodies of the Trust’s primary schools to ensure continuous improvement.

Will Smith, Chief Executive Officer of the Greenshaw Learning Trust, said: “On behalf of the Trust I would like to thank Simon for his excellent leadership throughout his time with us. Simon has played an instrumental part in improving the performance of our primary schools and supporting the Trust through our recent growth.”
