On 5 September 2017 'Orchard Park High School’ will open its doors to welcome students and families in the Shirley area.

Headteacher Ciara Warnock said:  "The school’s staff and governing body are committed to providing a first class education for each and every student who attends the school. Whilst the school will be striving for excellence in examination results, we believe that it is important to inspire and support our students so that they are happy and can fulfil their all-round potential."

Orchard Park High School in Orchard Way, Shirley is part of the Greenshaw Learning Trust. The Chair of the Trust, Mike Cooper, said:  “This is the opening of a new chapter in the education of students in the Shirley area. The school’s new name and badge underline its place at the heart of its community, providing the best education for all its students, andembody the confidence we have in the school’s future as it continues its journey of improvement, in collaboration with schools across the Trust."

The new name and new school badge represent the school’s location at the heart of the Monks Orchard community and the heritage of the school site, taking elements of the family crests of previous landowners.

Over the coming weeks, we will be providing more information on the life of the school through the new school website: www.orchardparkhigh.co.uk and you can follow the school on Twitter: @OrchardParkHigh
