Exam Results 2020/21

Students in schools across the Greenshaw Learning Trust this week received their A Level, vocational and GCSE subject grades. Following a year of disruption due to the COVID-19 pandemic, including the cancellation of examinations, grades were awarded based on Centre Assessed Grades for each subject. Centre Assessment Grades or ‘CAGS’ are the grade students would be most likely to have achieved had examinations gone ahead and take into account a range of evidence including teacher and internal assessments taken throughout the year.

Will Smith, CEO of the Greenshaw Learning Trust, commented: “Year 11 and 13 students have had significant disruption to their learning throughout the last two years because of the pandemic and it is testament to the hard work of all of our teachers and support staff that our students have today received fairly awarded grades.  We are delighted that so many of our young people have achieved the grades that will enable them to transition into the next phase of their life - be that their sixth form, university of choice, apprenticeship or employment.”
